Step 1 - Consultation: We’ll start with a free phone chat about what your goals are, discuss red flag areas on your resume, and come up with the best plan to help you reach your goals.
Step 2 - Invoice: I'll email you your invoice and you will have up to the day before I start your questionnaire to pay it.
Step 3 – Research: I will have you perform a thorough job search and send me three job ads that you would like to apply to.
Step 4 - The Questionnaire: I’ll spend time analyzing the job ads, dissecting your resume, and building a tailored Questionnaire for you to work on. This will be emailed to you.
Step 5 - Resume Writing: Once you finish your Questionnaire, I’ll schedule a day to build your resume. Usually within 3 working days.
Step 6 – Edits: After I send you your resume draft for review, we will work on edits together.
Step 7 – Cover Letter and LinkedIn: If you also ordered cover letters and a LinkedIn page, I’ll start working on those after we finalize your resume.
Step 8 – Coaching: If you ordered the package, we’ll have an interview practice session and an exit consultation to talk about what you should do next.
Step 9 – Start Applying: You are ready. Go get that job!

That hit me hard. Not just because my job was to manufacture nanoparticles with impossible precision, but because I couldn’t understand why an employer wouldn’t want that in an employee. A few years later, Ambition Resumes was born and I became my own boss who values 110%.
But that horrible day taught me what kind of professional I am. I cannot do less than 110%. It’s not in my DNA. That’s why my questionnaires are meticulous and soul searching, why it takes me longer to finish your resume, and why I almost never accept clients that need their resumes like yesterday. If we are going to do this, we are going to do it right.

Even if you don't want to purchase a resume service. Just contact me with your industry and job type and I'll try to find something similar for you to emulate.
If you have already paid and I have not sent you your custom questionnaire, and you ask for a refund, I will refund 100% of your invoice.
If I have already sent you your questionnaire, and you change your mind about the resume, I will refund 50% of your invoice, up to three months after you have paid.
After three months, I don't issue a refund, but I will always honor the contract I have with you, no matter how long it takes for you to complete the questionnaire.
Turnaround time really depends on my availability and how quickly you can return your Questionnaire. I allow you all the time you need to work on the questions because I want you to think really hard about your professional value. I have had a few clients who took over a year, and that's ok. I'll still honor your purchase.
But as a general rule, if I am not booked up and you turn in the questionnaire within a reasonable time, we can be finished in two weeks.
The take home message about Turnaround: I work differently than other services who promise a 3-day turnaround, so I typically only take clients who have extra time to do this thoroughly. I'm willing to put in the extra time (110%) to get it right if you are willing to let me.
A person once told me that she would like me to write her resume but she refuses to answer any questions. I told her I could not take her as a client.
The Questionnaire, or what one of my clients called human torture, is a set of questions based on your current resume, the job ads you send me, and research I perform on your target industry and position type. I cannot write your resume without it. It is a tough assignment as it can be long and arduous, but it will challenge you to dig deep and quantify your professional worth.
I like to warn people about my Questionnaire before we get started so they have a much clearer idea of what they are getting themselves into. It is a lot of work, but the sense I get from my past clients is that they really appreciate the exercise and the time I invest in getting to know them better. If you can find your inner dragon and finish it, you will come out a stronger candidate and be much better prepared for an interview.
